I hate it when people dress as Native Americans for Halloween. For some reason, Native Americans are the one race that it’s okay to be racist against. Dressing as a black person for Halloween is distasteful and offensive, but dressing as a Native American is funny and cute. Maybe it’s just because your ancestors killed all of the Native Americans that it’s okay to dress as them because there aren’t any left to confront you about your racist costume.
I know I don’t look like it (I would if I got off the internet and made contact with the sun), but I’m part Choctaw and it really offends me when people dress as “Indian Princessessssss!!!! <3” for Halloween. (Or when hipsters think it’s cool to stereotype an entire race.)
By the way, here’s what most Native American clothing actually looks like:

So if you were planning to dress as Pocahontas or an “Indian Warrior” for Halloween, please go out and buy another costume.
